Hey there! I am an open-source investigator. I currently work at the Institute for Strategic Dialogue, where I am Senior OSINT Specialist and conduct research on online hate, extremism, and disinformation. I also teach OSINT as an adjunct instructor at USC’s Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism.
Previously, I led research and intelligence at a consulting firm, where I investigated illicit trade and transnational criminal networks for Fortune/Global 500 clients; provided investigative assistance to law enforcement and prosecutors; and taught workshops on open-source intelligence (OSINT).
I have also worked in law library management and international criminal law research. I grew up in Southeast Los Angeles, am the son of working-class Mexican immigrants, and am a first-generation graduate of UC Berkeley. I’m committed to mentoring and uplifting aspiring open-source investigators, especially those from underrepresented backgrounds.
During non-pandemic times, you can usually find me at a coffee shop or at a punk show somewhere in Southern California.
